Full Stack Application Developer
DULUTH, GASpecialty Building Products is seeking a skilled and motivated Application Developer to join our growing team. The Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting custom software applications that address key business needs across the organization
The Application Developer will collaborate closely with business analysts and department leads to understand business needs, identify challenges, and build scalable applications that align with both operational and strategic objectives using Microsoft Azure technologies and development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business analysts and department stakeholders to understand business problems and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and support modern web applications using C#, React, and T-SQL.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and views to support data-driven applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues independently.
- Review peer code and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with QA, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure application performance, security, and compliance.
- Stay informed on the latest software development trends, tools, and Microsoft Azure services.
- Assist with deployments, monitor application health, and resolve incidents as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C# and React.
- Strong experience building and supporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced stored procedures and performance tuning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and experience working with key services:
- Azure App Services (Web Apps)
- Azure Functions
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Queue)
- Application Insights
- Azure API Management
- Azure Service Bus
- Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and backlog management.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices and the Microsoft development stack.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Knowledge of Azure identity and access management (e.g., Azure AD, MSAL).
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment or applying security best practices in cloud-based solutions.
